Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take insurance?

​

  • For therapy, I am credentialed with:

Aetna

Optum (includes UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, UMR, Oscar)​

​

  • For Autism & ADHD assessments, I am out-of-network with all insurance companies.

​​

  • I can provide you with a receipt ("super bill") to attempt to seek reimbursement from your insurance company.

​

Do you offer in-person or virtual services?

​

  • I offer both in-person and virtual therapy for ages 13-30.

​

  • I offer in-person and virtual Autism & ADHD assessments for ages 16-60.

​

  • For virtual services, you must be located in Texas at the time of your appointment.

​

How long are therapy sessions? How often will we meet?

​

  • Therapy sessions are typically 53-55 minutes. 

​

  • It is recommended to start by coming to sessions weekly. If that is not feasible, sessions may take place biweekly.

​

How do I know if I (or my child) could benefit from therapy?

  • If you or your child are experiencing thoughts and emotions that are getting in the way of living a fulfilling life, including at home, school, work, and/or socially, therapy could be helpful. 

​

Will you be a good fit for me (or my child)?
​
  • For therapy: I specialize in working with individuals ages 13-30 struggling with anxiety, trauma/PTSD, self-esteem, people-pleasing, and perfectionism.

​

  • For assessments: I provide Autism and ADHD assessments for clients ages 16 to 60. I specialize in identifying neurodivergence in those who may easily be missed or misdiagnosed, such as women and other AFAB individuals. However, I can assess clients with other presentations and identities as well. 

​

  • I am unable to provide custody recommendations or evaluations.

​

  • If you and/or I determine that I am not able to meet your needs as a client, I will do my best to help you find someone who will be a better fit.

What kind of availability do you have for therapy or assessments?

  • For therapy: I see therapy clients Tuesdays through Thursdays and schedule clients for recurring sessions at the same time and day each week whenever possible. 

​

  • For assessments, please contact me for current availability. Testing appointment are typically around 4 hours (with breaks) on Mondays or Fridays.

​

  • I do not provide emergency services. If you experience a crisis and are unable to reach me, please call or text the crisis hotline, 988, or visit your nearest emergency room or mental health hospital.
